We hear it on the news and read about it online more and more; police misconduct. The people that choose their careers as civil servants, the one that have sworn to protect and serve, the people you’re told to go to as a child if there’s an emergency, beat the life out of someone because they wear a badge.
This was the case with Officers Sean McKnight, and Kevin Robinson. They lied to their colleagues and superiors about the May 2013 encounter in North Philadelphia, where the two city police officers were arrested Thursday and accused of knocking a man off a scooter and beating him so severely that another officer thought he had been shot.
“He’s aware of what happens to people who don’t comply. He was complying,” Flynn said. “He wasn’t offering anything except screams for his life when he was being beaten.”
