Don’t Miss JakeStock 2016!
Fundraiser/Family Event to Honor Memory of Popular Teen and
Benefit Local Community Members in Need
DOYLESTOWN – The eighth annual JakeStock event will be held Saturday,
June 4 from noon to 5 p.m. at George M. Bush Park in Buckingham (Burnt House Hill and Cold Spring Creamery Roads).

The family-friendly event is open to the public and benefits community members in need.

The event will feature lots of food (BBQ, water ice, soft pretzels, and a giant bake sale), volleyball, a basketball shoot-out, face painting and a moon bounce. A full schedule of local bands including Jim Roney’s Student/Camper Band, Ghost Mountain, Emily Ashton, Dana & Bruce, Alyssa Neiman, MacKenna McLaughlin and Robin & Friends will provide music throughout the entire event.

JakeStock ‘16 is being held in memory of popular teen Jake Revere, who died at age 16 in a 2008 skiing accident.

To honor their son, Rich and Robin Revere of Doylestown established the Jake Revere Foundation to help those in need of financial assistance. The foundation funds memorial scholarships to students from Central Bucks East High School, where Jake was a 10th-grader. This year, a CB East senior received a $1,000 scholarship. Last year’s Jakestock raised more than $3,000 for the Jake Revere Foundation.

In addition to the scholarship, the foundation also helps those in need in the local community, especially children who otherwise would not be able to participate in positive social and educational activities like after-school sports and camping.

The Jake Revere Campership Fund provides a yearly scholarship to a graduating Boy Scout from Troop 6 of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, Jake’s former troop.

The Revere’s three daughters, Kacey, 22, Kellie, 18, Sophie, 16, and many of their friends will help with the event.

“It makes me feel very grateful that people still care,” said Robin. “They want to show support and keep Jake’s spirit alive. It’s a good day to celebrate Jake.”

This year’s raffles include:

  • Two Phillies vs. Mets tickets for July 16th
  • A Cal Ripken, Jr. autographed baseball bat
  • Other sports memorabilia
  • Gift cards from local merchants
~ Lisa Richards Salon, Artistic Pizza, The Spa at Cornerstone, Villa Capri, Welcome House Studio and Nina’s will also be raffled.
Baskets include: The Little Gym, Fred Beans, Laurie’s Chocolates, C&C Photo, Piper Classic and much more!

JakeStock T-shirts will again be for sale this year. There will also be a plant sale featuring hanging baskets with beautiful annual flowers.
Guests are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items to be collected for a local food pantry.

Jake Revere was a CB East honor roll student who died tragically in a skiing accident on March 7, 2008. Jake played volleyball and enjoyed acting in school theater productions. He was actively involved with the youth group at Doylestown United Methodist Church and performed missionary work in the depressed areas of the South. Jake was a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 6 in Doylestown and was planning on completing his Eagle Scout requirements.

If you know of someone who would benefit from the financial assistance that The Jake Revere Foundation provides please visit the website atwww.jakerevere.com and fill out the Needs Based Funds Application.
