  1. Cleanse the wound with water.
  2. Apply peroxide

  2. After a few minutes, apply direct pressure to try to stop the bleeding.
  3. Run under light flowing water and gently wash with mild soap for several minutes. Do not use peroxide or other like treatments for this type of wound. They can slow the healing process.
  4. If bleeding cannot be controlled, call 911 or get to the nearest ER.
