Freedom of speech and expression is important in our country, the United States of America.  It’s one of the things that defines us as a country and largely shapes who we are as a people.  The first amendment guarantees us freedoms in areas concerning religion, expression, assembly and the right to petition.  These are rights that we have in this country as per the Constitution.  Just because these rights are granted to us by the Constitution; doesn’t mean that we always have these things.  Sometimes we need to fight for what we deserve when we have those rights taken from us.  We should be free to walk the streets without fear of harassment from the government, other people and other entities.
